About Jeff

I am a 4th year Ph.D. student at Ohio University who studies the effects of temperature on lipid membranes in fish. I was asked to spend 7 weeks on the Antarctic continent collaborating with researchers from University of Alaska and University of Maine on a project involving fishes that lack hemoglobin (the protein responsible for moving oxygen around the body in the blood) – in other words, some of the coolest fish on the planet (no pun intended).
